Robert S. Laramee received a bachelors degree in physics, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (ZooMass). He received a masters degree in computer science from the University of New Hampshire, Durham. He was awarded a PhD from the Vienna University of Technology (Gruess Gott TUWien), Austria at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms in 2005. From 2001 to 2006 he was a researcher at the VRVis Research Center (www.vrvis.at) and a software engineer at AVL (www.avl.com) in the department of Advanced Simulation Technologies. Currently he is an Associate Professor at the Swansea University (Prifysgol Cymru Abertawe), Wales in the Department of Computer Science (Adran Gwyddor Cyfrifiadur). Marcelo Milrad is a Full Professor at the Department of Media Technology. Professor Milrad has published over 170 articles in international journals, refereed conferences, books and technical reports. He has also been presenting and giving lectures about his work in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Petra Perner (IAPR Fellow) is the director of the IBaI. She received her Diploma degree in electrical engineering and her PhD degree in computer science for the work on “Data Reduction Methods for Industrial Robots with Direct Teach-in-Programing”. Her habilitation thesis was about “A Methodology for the Development of Knowledge-Based Image-Interpretation Systems". She has been the principal investigator of various national and international research projects. Dr Mohsen Farid, PhD, has an established track record as an academic in data analytics, computational science, HCI and Information Theoretic approach to data, natural language, physical systems and measurements. Igor Kotenko is a Chief Scientist, Head of Laboratory of computer security problems of St. Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPIIRAS) and Head of the International Laboratory "Information security of cyber-physical systems" of St.Petersburg ITMO University. He is Prof. of computer science, Doctor of Technical Sciences, PhD. He graduated with honours from the St.Petersburg Academy of Space Engineering and the St.Petersburg Signal Academy. He is a noted scientist in research on theoretical and practical problems of information and telecommunication technologies, including artificial intelligence and multi-agent systems, data mining, big data, cyber security, communication network diagnostics, decision making support. He participated in a multitude of different research projects devoted to development of new computer technologies, and he was the Principal Investigator in more than 20 international research projects. Dr. Javier Sarsa is a professor at the University of Zaragoza. Dr. Mary Mehrnoosh Eshaghian-Wilner has over 26 years of research experience in various areas within the field of Computer Engineering. Additionally, she has worked in the area of patent law for several years. She has published numerous scientific papers, including two books, and has handled the prosecution and infringement analysis of many complex U.S. and international patents. Dr. Eshaghian-Wilner currently is a Professor of Engineering Practice at the Electrical Engineering-Systems Department at the University of Southern California (USC), and since 2004 has been an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Prior to joining UCLA, she was a tenured full Professor and Department Head at the Computer Engineering Department of Rochester Institute of Technology
